Of Course Always Recommended!
I wish I could have read this book years ago to avoid many of the mistakes I have made -- and thus not achieved my goals. This book is full of logical and practical tips for goal setting--and I definitely see how they could be actionable. - Dorene
The FlipSide of Failure had me continuously thinking
about many of the goals I had started, the ambitions I have had at various points of my life, and helped me understand why I may not have accomplished them. The format of the book felt like a supportive friend who truly believed in my ability to accomplish anything. The missions and assignments suggested are all relevant and truly fill the gaps where I may have lost steam in my goals previously. I would highly recommend the FlipSide of Failure for anyone who has hit a bump or stumpled in achieving their goals in the past and looking for a boost in the right direction. - Jessica
A straightforward and concise recipe for creating a successful goal-setting - and achieving - system by an experienced mentor and coach. Elizabeth has created a very simple and actionable approach to what can be a daunting task. There are a myriad of goal-setting books and gurus out there that offer bloated and complicated systems, but the author here cuts through all the BS and not only breaks it down into doable steps, but also gives you hope that your goals are very much achievable with the right mindset and focus.
I particularly like how it isn't written as a lecture, but more like you're having a conversation with the author. A very no-nonsense approach in a very direct and friendly manner.
Even if you've read 100 goal-setting books before, add this one to your shelf. You'll be glad you did! - David
For March we are on a theme of exploring our extraordinary selves!
This month my pick is, Extraordinary: Living in the Direction of You by Michael Dauphinee. This book I imagine will build on the previous month’s exploration of authenticity. I’m excited to learn about Michael’s perspective and how the ideas of these two books might speak to each other. We’ll see!
I’m looking forward to a discussion about being extraordinary anyway! Please join me for the online video call being held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 8pm Eastern to share your thoughts and take-aways from the book on zoom here.
